There are a number of children's services in the Carrathool Shire.
Hillston Billylids Early Learning Centre
For children aged 0 to 5 years. Located at 59 Burns Street, Hillston. Contact 02 6967 2538 for further information.
Goolgowi Preschool
For ages 3 to 6, located at the Scout Hall, the Preschool is held once a week and is serviced by the Wandering Wombat Preschool, based in Griffith. Phone the Wandering Wombat on 02 6962 4463 for information.
Rankins Springs Preschool
For ages 3 to 6, located at the Memorial Hall, the Preschool is held once a week and is also service by the Wandering Wombat in Griffith.
Hay Mobile Childrens Service
The villages of Goolgowi and Carrathool are serviced by the visiting Hay Mobile Childrens Service on a regular basis. This childcare facility operates farm-based care, venue care, playgroup and a mobile toy library. Phone 02 6993 3059 for dates and times in the two villages.
