Multi Service Outlet
The Carrathool Shire Council Multi Service Outlet is a project administered by the Carrathool Shire Council. The Home and Community Care MSO Programme provides services to the Carrathool Shire through a variety of individual services.
The services provided by the HACC MSO Program includes;
Respite Care
Relief care can be arranged in your own home on a short term basis, at the Day Care Centre in Griffith, or at the Hillston Community Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays for carers who require assistance.
Home Modifications and Maintenance
Minor repairs to home and household appliances. We may also help you to arrange for bigger jobs to be done by a tradesperson, eg. Installation of rails and ramps, relocation of toilet to inside etc.
Community Transport
This service is available Monday to Friday.
Paid and volunteer drivers can help get you to medical or dental appointments. When possible 24 hours notice for local trips (Hillston and Griffith) and 48 hours notice for long distance trips would be appreciated.
A contribution is required per client.
Meals on Wheels
Home delivered meals are available 7 days per week. Volunteers deliver hot meals Monday to Friday at a small cost to the client per meal. Special arrangements can be made for public holidays and weekends. Payment for meals is usually on a fortnightly basis and can be paid at the Council Offices, 190 High St Hillston.
Community Aged Care Packages
Eight packages are available within the Shire. These packages enable a person in need to deal with only one person who arranges all their necessary care instead of having to deal with a range of care providers
Gardening
Provide assistance with gardening jobs such as; lawn mowing, weeding, pruning and rubbish removal, in order to maintain a safe environment.
